About Zinda: Asian & Indian Restaurant in Downtown Raleigh
Opened in 2012, Zinda continues to offer one of the most unique restaurant experiences in Downtown Raleigh. With an upscale atmosphere evoking the feel of an NYC or Los Angeles bar, Zinda is full of architectural designs, interiors, and decorative elements inspired by the Far East.
Of course, this only serves to complement the crowning jewel of our restaurant — a diverse menu featuring a variety of traditional Asian dishes crafted with the fresh, authentic ingredients, and flavored to perfection to provide a meal you won’t soon forget.
What We Serve
Imagine starting your meal with a cup of ginger tea, Chinese soup and a Thai salad, then finishing with a Malaysian noodle dish and a side of Indian flatbread.
At Zinda, we balance dishes, cooking techniques, and flavor profiles from across Southeast Asia to create a unique dining experience that we like to call “New Asian.” New Asian isn’t Asian fusion — in fact, it’s quite the opposite. Rather than combining different Asian cuisines into one dish, we’re taking traditional dishes from a variety of regions and presenting them in a new way. We’re not reinventing the wheel, just giving it a facelift.
Meet Our Chef
Chef A.J. Faung has one of the most diverse backgrounds of any of our chefs at Eschelon. His experience, expertise and familiarity with a wide variety of cultures and cuisines has been a great asset to Zinda, and to the Eschelon family as a whole.
